Dear UFCW Local 135 Member,

We are about to enter into negotiations with your employer. I promise you, these will be extremely difficult negotiations. We are committed to negotiate a deal that satisfies your concerns regarding health benefits, pension, and wage increases.

Last year, we negotiated a very successful contract with our members who work at Albertstons, Ralphs, Stater Brothers, and Vons. That did not come by accident. Not only were we diligent at the bargaining table, but a key to our success was our members getting involved. Remember, it’s your contract.

It is imperative that you join us for a meeting to be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at either 8:30 a.m. OR 6:30 p.m. in the Meeting Hall of UFCW Local 135 to discuss our strategies with you regarding your negotiations. Please plan on attending one of these important meetings.
